KaramMD Skin is a prestige anti-aging skincare brand founded by facial plastic surgeon Dr. Amir Karam. Built on clinical science, ingredient integrity, and a distinct point of view on skin aging, our mission is simple: help people look as young as they feel.

We’re growing quickly and looking for an exceptionally talented multimedia designer who can help bring our brand story to life across paid media, organic social, our website, and other digital channels.

We believe great creative should do more than capture attention or drive a click. It should communicate what makes a brand different, earn trust, and build lasting recognition.

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on multimedia designer with exceptional video editing, motion graphics, and static graphic design capabilities.

You’ll transform creator footage, founder content, customer testimonials, product imagery, and creative concepts into compelling visual assets across paid media, organic social, YouTube, landing pages, and our website.

Working closely with our senior graphic designer, paid creative strategist, and marketing team, you’ll help significantly expand our creative production while maintaining the quality, consistency, and distinctiveness of the KaramMD brand.

This role requires more than technical proficiency. We’re looking for someone with strong creative instincts and storytelling ability who understands that great performance creative should strengthen a brand, not simply follow generic DTC advertising formulas.

Video editing will represent a significant portion of the work, but excellence in static design is equally important.

What You’ll Do

Video, Motion & Static Creative

• Edit compelling video content using creator footage, UGC, testimonials, product demonstrations, founder content, and educational material.
• Create exceptional static graphics, paid ads, carousels, product visuals, and campaign assets.
• Develop motion graphics, animated text, captions, and visual effects that strengthen storytelling
• Produce creative variations with different hooks, messaging, pacing, layouts, and formats to support testing and optimization.
• Adapt content for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Google, organic social, and other digital channels. 
• Support occasional original content production, including filming and basic lighting and audio capture.

Landing Pages & Digital Design

• Design landing page layouts, campaign pages, website hero graphics, and other eCommerce assets.
• Collaborate with the paid creative strategist and web team to ensure a consistent visual story from ad to landing page.
• Create design variations to support conversion optimization and campaign testing.

Brand Storytelling & Creative Excellence

• Translate KaramMD’s founder story, scientific philosophy, product differentiation, and customer results into distinctive visual storytelling.
• Create content that is immediately recognizable as KaramMD, maintaining a consistent visual identity across channels.
• Work within our established brand strategy while contributing original creative ideas that strengthen how we communicate.
• Collaborate with our senior graphic designer to maintain exceptional design quality, typography, composition, and brand consistency.
• Balance performance objectives with long-term brand building rather than relying on generic DTC creative trends.

Creative Production & Optimization

• Produce a consistent, high volume of polished video and static assets without compromising quality.
• Work closely with the paid creative strategist to execute concepts, testing priorities, and creative iterations.
• Incorporate performance insights and feedback to continuously improve creative.
• Maintain organized project files, templates, and asset libraries.
• Use AI-assisted tools and emerging technologies thoughtfully to improve creative quality and production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-6 years of design experience with a portfolio spanning digital channels (email, paid ads, web, social) — digital-first, not print-only.
• Professional experience in multimedia design, video editing, motion graphics, or digital creative production, supported by an exceptional portfolio.
• Advanced video editing and motion graphics capabilities, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, or comparable professional tools.
• Excellent static graphic design skills, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or comparable design tools.
• Demonstrated ability to produce outstanding video and static creative for digital marketing.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, typography, composition, pacing, and brand identity.
• Experience adapting creative across paid social, organic social, websites, and other digital platforms.
• Ability to translate brand positioning and creative briefs into original, distinctive visual content.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
• A portfolio demonstrating excellence in both video and static design is required.
• Experience in beauty, skincare, wellness, or premium/luxury consumer brands.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing eCommerce landing pages and conversion-focused digital assets.
• Basic filming, lighting, and audio production skills.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted creative tools and Shopify.

Work Location & Schedule

This is a hybrid position based in San Diego, California, requiring at least three days per week in our office.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $80,000–$115,000 annually, plus benefits.

Final compensation will depend on experience, portfolio quality, creative capabilities, and technical skills. We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience who can demonstrate exceptional talent and creative potential.
