Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Deal Origination & Intermediary Coverage Analyst. The analyst will support deal sourcing activities by managing and expanding relationships with investment banks, intermediaries, and other deal sources, while tracking and organizing inbound opportunities. We are seeking an Intermediary Coverage Analyst to help expand and strengthen that network and drive high-quality deal flow to our clients.

This role is ideal for a proactive, relationship-oriented professional who is interested in M&A and private equity, communicates confidently with finance professionals, and enjoys turning outreach and relationship development into actionable opportunities.

Day-to-day responsibilities include sourcing, reviewing and categorizing new deals, assessing fit against client investment criteria, and maintaining accurate records in internal systems and databases (HubSpot CRM). The role also involves outreach campaigns to intermediaries and adjacent sources of deal flow, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely dissemination of relevant opportunities to clients. The analyst will collaborate closely with senior team members to refine sourcing strategies, improve process efficiency, and contribute to reporting and analytics on deal flow performance.

Deal Origination & Relationship Development

• Develop and maintain relationships with our current network of investment banks, M&A advisors, financial advisors, and other sell-side intermediaries.

• Identify and engage new intermediary relationships that expand TruSight's network and generate relevant deal opportunities for clients.
\n
• Re-engage existing and historical relationships to strengthen coverage, understand current deal activity, and surface new opportunities.
\n
• Conduct targeted outbound outreach to intermediaries leveraging thought leadership, Private Equity Info’s Signals, and other TruSight tools by phone and email and serve as a consistent point of contact for M&A knowledge, current events, and intermediary relationships.

• Understand client investment criteria and help match relevant sell-side opportunities with appropriate private equity and family office interest.
\n
• Facilitate introductions between intermediaries and TruSight clients and support the marketing of relevant deal opportunities.
\n
• Follow up with bankers and advisors on deals already in market: confirming status, checking whether introduced parties advanced, and using those conversations to surface additional opportunities from their broader pipeline.

Administrative & Process Ownership

• Manage relationship and opportunity tracking in HubSpot, including outreach activity, follow-ups, pipeline status, and reporting.

• Own recurring client communications by leveraging AI-centric tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to produce polished, high-quality client materials efficiently.

• Schedule calls with bankers and private equity / family office firms on behalf of the team.
\n
• Identify opportunities and work with internal development teams to automate recurring administrative work using AI tools and digital agents.

Qualifications

\n
• 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, private equity, financial services, business development, sales, or another senior level client-facing role.
\n
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
\n
• Proficiency using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) to streamline team workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and improve overall efficiency.
\n
• Experience with HubSpot strongly preferred.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage investment bankers, advisors, executives, and other senior professionals.
\n
• Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable with proactive outreach, follow-up, and relationship management.
\n
• Comfortable working on a remote team.
\n
