Assistant Project Manager Commercial Solar Construction $25-$30/hr | Full-Time | Glastonbury, CT About Us Lantern Electrical is a growing commercial electrical and solar contractor specializing in large-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects throughout the Northeast. We're looking for someone with experience in commercial solar, electrical, or construction who wants to grow into project management. This is a hands‑on role where you'll work alongside experienced project managers, supporting projects from estimating and procurement through installation and closeout. This is not a desk‑only position. You'll split your time between the office, warehouse, and jobsites. Responsibilities Assist with estimating and project setup Coordinate material purchasing, deliveries, and inventory Track project schedules, costs, and documentation Prepare permits, submittals, RFIs, and change orders Coordinate with vendors, customers, and field crews Support warehouse organization and jobsite logistics Maintain accurate project information and records Help solve day‑to‑day project challenges Qualifications Required Experience in commercial solar, electrical, or construction Strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable using computers and learning new software Valid driver's license Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment Willingness to work both in the office and in the field Preferred Experience with estimating or project coordination Familiarity with construction drawings and project documentation Knowledge of commercial PV systems What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Adaptable and able to shift priorities as projects change Hands‑on and willing to help wherever needed Detail‑oriented and organized A proactive problem solver Interested in building a long‑term career in commercial solar Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs.
