About the Role: As the Compensation Manager, you will report to the Senior Manager, Compensation, and play a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day compensation operations. You will lead a talented team of compensation professionals, ensuring the accurate, compliant, and timely delivery of all compensation activities. Your expertise will support a diverse workforce across various regions, including compliance-heavy areas like Quebec and New York. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage annual compensation programs, including merit increases, annual incentive plans (AIP), and bonus programs. Oversee the operational components of the Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP), coordinating with vendors and managing data. Prepare insightful compensation materials for executive leadership and Board reporting. Participate in compensation surveys and conduct comprehensive market benchmarking. Manage job evaluation frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational design and compensation structures. Partner with HR and business leaders to provide both tactical and strategic compensation guidance. Drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency, maintaining a keen eye on compliance and best practices. Candidate Profile: 5-7 years of progressive compensation experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role preferred. Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with HRIS systems like SuccessFactors is a plus. A strong process‑improvement mindset, with exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to align compensation programs with organizational strategy and navigate both Canadian and U.S. markets. The CCP designation is a strong asset but not mandatory. Key Competencies: Operational leadership with a results‑oriented approach. Hands‑on experience with the full compensation cycle, comfortable with manual work and calculations. Strong influencing skills and the ability to manage complex situations and develop practical solutions. High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information. The Compensation Package: Base Salary: $130,000 Bonus: 17% target, with a performance‑based multiplier potential. Pension: Competitive RRSP Match Matrix Professional Development: Membership and development fees may be covered with an approved business case.
