CNC Machinist

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to manufacture high‑quality precision parts. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of blueprints, takes pride in craftsmanship, and thrives in a fast‑paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Setup and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or routers) to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling. Read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specifications. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications and a zero‑defect standard. Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Adhere to all safety protocols, keep a clean workstation, and wear appropriate PPE at all times. Load and optimize G‑code/M‑code programs if required for the role level. Qualifications & Skills Years of experience operating CNC machines (experience with controls such as Haas, Fanuc, or Mazak is a plus). Ability to read blueprints and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Strong basic math skills (algebra, geometry, and converting decimals/fractions). Physical demands: ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a machinist apprenticeship or technical degree is highly preferred.
