Line Cook – Ramen Restaurant

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will help prepare and cook high-quality ramen, appetizers, and other menu items while maintaining food safety standards, cleanliness, and consistency. We are looking for someone who works well under pressure, communicates effectively with the team, and takes pride in preparing great food for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook ramen, appetizers, and other menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards.
• Prepare ingredients, including cutting vegetables, portioning proteins, and organizing toppings.
• Maintain consistent food quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
• Keep the kitchen station clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout each shift.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Monitor ingredient levels and communicate shortages to the kitchen manager.
• Work efficiently during busy lunch and dinner service.
• Coordinate with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time.
• Properly store ingredients, label and date food items, and follow FIFO inventory practices.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and other kitchen duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
• Ramen or Japanese cuisine experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Willingness to learn recipes, kitchen procedures, and restaurant standards.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift kitchen supplies as needed.
