Hub Operations Lead

Position Overview What is an HUB Operations Lead? The Hub Operations Lead is responsible for the day‑to‑day operations and workflow of all HUB functions, including execution of store hub order fulfillment and inventory control. Depending on the size and scope of the HUB operations, the Lead may oversee one or more team members such as HUB Inventory Specialists and HUB drivers. Primary Responsibilities Resolve hub orders and processes promptly. Provide direction, organize, delegate work, and ensure execution related to leading hub staff (drivers and inventory specialists). Review hub orders, pull parts, stage product, and finalize paperwork. Coordinate with internal staff and third‑party drivers regarding paperwork and instructions. Engage the store‑facility network to determine part sourcing and logistics solutions; work with ordering store for fulfillment options when network inventory is unavailable. Collaborate with GM, DM, and CSC support for proper inventory mix and levels. Maintain inventory accuracy (on‑hand accuracy, shrink results, cycle counts, outages, planograms, Maxi changes, price changes, front & face, truck lead). Manage and comply with all hub records and paperwork policies and procedures. Urgently communicate any risks or concerns regarding order fulfillment or shipments to the appropriate store leader(s). Lead stocking activities from replenishment orders, including scanning product and ensuring completion within 24 hours. Secondary Responsibilities Overpack, callbacks, resets, and other inventory activities. Safely deliver parts to customers as needed. Assist with front room inventory functions, cores, and defect management. Maintain store cleanliness (floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lot). Assist with MOD and other store‑related actions as needed. Qualifications & Experience Good knowledge of store systems and basic parts knowledge. Strong interpersonal skills and prior experience leading other team members. In‑depth knowledge of store inventory and the ability to network with nearby stores, hubs, pdq, and external suppliers for order fulfillment. Ability to drive a forklift (certified if required) and use a hand truck and pallet jack. Prior retail experience, including basic merchandising and inventory management skills. Competent oral and written communication and ability to handle basic math computations. Prior experience in inventory management in a retail environment or logistics center. High school diploma or GED. MVR certification may be required. Success Factors Friendly communication. Ability to locate and stock parts. Safety knowledge and skills. Physical Demands Employee will predominantly walk or stand. Must be able to talk, hear, use hands and fingers, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Work is usually inside, occasionally outside, exposed to weather conditions and various hazards such as moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate. Compensation The good faith estimate for this role is between USD 23.85 and USD 26.54 per hour for a new team member. The rate offered depends on geographic location, experience, education, leadership roles, skills, and shift differential (if applicable).
