Workday Benefit & Compensation Consultant

job summary:
We are seeking a senior Workday Benefit Consultant to join our Application Managed Services team. In this role, you will take full ownership of configuring and executing end-to-end Benefits and Advanced Compensation cycles within Workday. This is a 100% remote short-term consulting engagement with the potential for extension, supporting critical operational milestones from system setup through payroll integration.

responsibilities:

• Configure and run annual merit, bonus, and equity review cycles in Workday Advanced Compensation.
• Manage end-to-end Open Enrollment setup, benefit plan configuration, and life event management.
• Maintain compensation grades, eligibility rules, business processes, and security assignments.
• Oversee 834 EDI carrier file integrations, COBRA triggers, and ACA reporting requirements.

qualifications:
5+ years of dedicated hands-on experience in Workday Benefits administration and configuration.

5+ years of experience configuring and executing Workday Advanced Compensation cycles.

Demonstrated proficiency using Workday EIB for mass data loads and Workday Report Writer.

Ability to work independently to execute full cycles from setup through payroll handoff.

Must be located in the United States.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Workday Benefits or Advanced Compensation formal certifications.

4+ years of experience with Workday Core HCM and Workday Security concepts.

Experience managing 1095-C/1094-C reporting and carrier file maintenance.
