divh2Laser Operator/h2pWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Laser Operator to join our production team. The Laser Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting machines to cut, shape, and fabricate materials according to precise specifications. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background in operating laser machines and should be familiar with various materials commonly used in the industry. Detail oriented, highly accurate, and the ability to communicate with coworkers, management, and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines are essential./ppThe laser operator works under the specific supervision, guidance, and direction of the Pre-Fabrication Manager./ppInterested candidates will have experience operating a laser, along with other power and hand tools, can accurately and precisely read a tape measure, and can read and understand blueprints./ppThe laser operator will primarily operate our laser to cut metal sheets, steel, aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized into various parts, deburr the parts, and then ensure they are put in the proper kitting box./ppKey Responsibilities:/pulliMachine Setup and Calibration: Prepare the laser cutting machine for production by loading materials, setting up appropriate cutting parameters, and ensuring the accuracy of the machines calibration. Ensure production schedule follow-through as allocated by Pre-Fabrication Manager and/or Engineering Manager Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures. Stage raw materials at work center for days production. Load and unload machine with correct sheet sizes and label parts with correct part numbers Perform operator-level maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area in accordance with company standards and manufactures machine recommendations./liliMaterial Inspection: Examine raw materials for any defects or imperfections, ensuring they meet quality standards before initiating the cutting process. Check parts to ensure they are within tolerance of company standards Report all equipment deficiencies to supervisor./liliLaser Cutting Operations: Operate the laser cutting machine to precisely cut and shape materials based on engineering drawings, blueprints, or job orders. Load and unload machine with correct sheet sizes and label parts with correct part numbers/liliQuality Control: Regularly inspect finished pieces to verify that they adhere to the required specifications, taking prompt action in case of any deviations./liliMachine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on the laser cutting equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn-out components to ensure optimal performance./liliDoffing: Removes parts from a sheet of metal and stacks onto to pallets. They do not set up or work on an actual laser machine. Take accurate measurements of work piece and gauges for production. Carryout maintenance measures to ensure good condition of machines. Operate 2 or more machines with little or no assistance. Change or replace switches and cylinders./liliSafety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while operating the laser machine and promote a safe working environment for all team members./liliProduction Efficiency: Monitor the production process, identify opportunities for process improvement, and suggest modifications to enhance efficiency and reduce waste./liliRecord Keeping: Maintain detailed records of production activities, including material usage, machine settings, and output quantities./liliTeam Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, such as engineers, supervisors, and quality control personnel, to achieve production goals and resolve any technical issues./liliTraining and Development: Stay updated with the latest laser cutting technologies and techniques and participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/ppCandidate must have some or all of the following Educational/Technical requirements:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications in CNC machining is a plus./liliProven experience as a Laser Operator/liliProficient in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications./liliStrong understanding of various materials commonly used in manufacturing, such as metals, plastics, and composites./liliAbility to set up and calibrate laser cutting machines and troubleshoot any operational issues./liliSolid knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to laser operations./li/ulpPreferred Skills and Abilities:/ppCandidate must have some or all of the following skills and abilities:/pulliDetail-oriented with excellent mathematical and measurement skills./liliPhysical capability to lift and handle heavy materials weighing more than 30lbs frequently (including pushing, pulling, and lifting)/liliStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team./liliFlexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and overtime when required./li/ul/div
