Manager of Payroll

Location Erickson Senior Living We're seeking a motivated and experienced Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations and inspire a team of Payroll professionals at our Catonsville, Maryland home office. This is an exciting opportunity for a payroll leader who will oversee end-to-end payroll operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Compensation: Commensurate with experience from $91,000-$100,000 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonus Competitive benefits packages including medical, dental, vision, and PTO in accordance with applicable state law How you will make an impact: Lead the day-to-day operations of the Payroll team, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing Train, and develop Payroll staff, providing ongoing coaching and performance management Oversee all payroll activities, including regular and off-cycle payments, audits, and issue resolution Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and stay current on regulatory changes Manage payroll reconciliations, reporting, and analysis, including ad hoc data requests Drive process improvements and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and standard operating documentation Support payroll systems, including upgrades, testing, and technical enhancements Collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners What you will need: Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role Experience with Workday (required) and UKG (preferred) Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and HRIS systems Headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, Erickson Senior Living is one of the country’s largest and most respected providers of senior living and health care with a growing, national network of communities.
