The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role ensures equipment uptime, supports continuous improvement, and maintains a safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment, including conveyors, robotics, presses, and assembly machinery
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (strong emphasis on hydraulics/pneumatics) to minimize downtime
• Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens preferred)
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Perform welding, fabrication, and basic machining as needed
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation (CMMS systems)
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
• Hands-on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is highly preferred
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and automation systems
• Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Possess own set of basic tools

Work Environment & Schedule:

• Fast-paced production setting
• Ability to work 2nd shift(2p-1030p), including overtime as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Skills:

• Preventative maintenance (PMs) & equipment inspections
• Continuous improvement mindset (fix root causes, not just symptoms)
• Experience with CMMS systems (work orders, tracking repairs)
• Ability to prioritize work around production schedules
