If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and take pride in creating a clean and well-maintained workplace, this might be the place for you.Position Overview:The Facility Cleaning Technician is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, organized, and welcoming common areas throughout the Smith Farms North facility.This is a hands-on role focused on routine and deep cleaning of hallways, restrooms, the employee break room, and other approved rooms that do not contain plant material. The position also supports supply restocking and removal of general trash and cardboard.The Facility Cleaning Technician follows established cleaning procedures, uses supplies and equipment safely, and communicates facility or supply concerns to the Park Superintendent. Vegetation and cannabis waste are handled by designated team members and are not part of this role.Schedule:  Mon/Wed/Fri 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (up to 30 hours per week)Responsibilities:Facility CleaningRemove dust from accessible surfaces on HVAC units, dehumidifiers, sprinkler pipes, and related overhead fixtures in hallways and approved rooms that do not contain plant materialSweep and mop floors in hallways and approved rooms that do not contain plant materialVacuum rugs and floor coverings throughout assigned areasWipe and dust artwork, frames, and other surfaces in hallways and restroomsMaintain a consistent cleaning schedule and complete assigned work thoroughly and efficientlyRestroom Cleaning & RestockingDeep clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, counters, fixtures, and other restroom surfacesSweep and mop restroom floors using approved cleaning products and proceduresRefill paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and other restroom supplies as neededEmpty restroom trash receptacles and replace linersMonitor restrooms for cleanliness, supply needs, plumbing concerns, or damage and report issues promptlyMaintain clean, orderly, and fully stocked restrooms throughout the workweekUse cleaning tools and supplies in a manner that prevents cross-contamination between restrooms and other facility areasEmployee Break Room CleaningClean and sanitize the sink, countertops, tables, and other shared surfacesClean the coffee pot and microwave, including interior and exterior surfaces as appropriateWipe and clean the exterior of the refrigeratorSweep and mop break room floors and remove crumbs, spills, and loose debrisEmpty trash receptacles, replace liners, and maintain a clean and welcoming shared spaceWaste Removal & Facility SupportEmpty general trash cans throughout assigned facility areas and replace linersCollect loose garbage and cardboard and transport it safely to the appropriate dumpsters or recycling areasBreak down cardboard when needed and keep disposal areas orderlyMaintain cleaning carts, tools, and supplies in clean, organized, and designated storage areasNotify the supervisor when cleaning products, paper goods, liners, or other supplies need to be reorderedSafety, Sanitation & ComplianceFollow all facility access restrictions and clean only approved rooms that do not contain plant material unless specifically directed otherwiseDo not handle or dispose of vegetation, cannabis, or regulated product waste; immediately notify the appropriate team member when such material is identifiedFollow product instructions, required PPE, and safe practices when using cleaning chemicals, ladders, step stools, and equipmentPlace appropriate warning signs around wet floors or active cleaning areas and promptly report safety or maintenance concernsFollow company sanitation, security, and compliance procedures at all timesRequired Skills/AbilitiesPrior commercial cleaning, custodial, housekeeping, sanitation, or facilities experience preferredStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistent cleanliness standardsAbility to follow written cleaning procedures, chemical labels, safety instructions, and verbal directionAbility to work independently, manage assigned tasks, and complete routine work without continuous supervisionDependable, punctual, and respectful of employees working throughout the facilityAbility to recognize and report supply, maintenance, sanitation, or safety concernsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly bend, reach, twist, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements; ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to safely use cleaning tools, vacuums, mops, step stools, and approved cleaning productsMust be 21+ and pass the required state background checkThis Role Is Right For You If...You take pride in creating a clean, sanitary, and welcoming workplaceYou notice dust, spills, clutter, and supply needs before others doYou are comfortable working independently and following a consistent cleaning routineYou can perform detailed, repetitive, and physically active work throughout your shiftYou are dependable, discreet, and respectful while working around employees and operational areasYou understand that cleanliness, safety, and compliance all matter in a regulated facility
