Responsibilities MedSurg RNs provide bedside care for a diverse patient population, conducting individualized assessments to develop tailored care plans. They prepare medical equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments. Key duties include: Preparing, administering, and documenting prescribed medications Monitoring patients for adverse symptoms and initiating appropriate interventions Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and initiating IVs as needed Qualifications & Skills Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, medication management, and procedural tasks are essential.
