Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Weekend Rotation | Some Holidays Based on Operational Need

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry inpatient setting
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, including identification of lethal and critical cardiac rhythms
• Float to other units as needed based on operational requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Minimum two years of acute care inpatient experience within the last three years in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• Epic EMR experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Must pass a Telemetry competency exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on adult exam)
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
• Familiarity with pediatric telemetry interpretation
