CNC Manufacturing Programmer (Haas VMC) About Axis Automation

A day in the shopYou arrive at 6:00am, review prioritized jobs with the Machining Manager, and plan tooling and setups for the day. You write and refine Mastercam toolpaths for Haas vertical mills, run multiple CNCs in parallel, perform in-process checks before release, and keep equipment humming with light daily maintenance. By late afternoon, you’ve advanced several projects, kept costs and cycle times in check, and upheld our Operating Principles through teamwork and safe work practices.
What you’ll own- Execute multiple projects while coordinating shop machining activities.
- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs.
- Run several CNC machines simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate as a strong team player and self-starter.
- Drive efficient outcomes for time, cost, and function on every task.
- Perform internal quality checks prior to release/shipment.
- Follow work schedules and labor plans with the Machining Manager.
- Interpret drawings, customer specifications, and manuals to meet requirements.
- Champion company policies and procedures.
- Model excellent safety practices and good housekeeping.
- Handle day-to-day equipment maintenance.
- Take on other related tasks as assigned.
- Embody our ten Operating Principles in every decision and action.
- Hands-on experience with Haas CNC vertical milling machines.
- Proficiency in Mastercam 2D and 3D (or equivalent CAM).
- 3–10 years of CNC machining experience.
- 1–3 years of programming experience (2D & 3D).
- Lathe experience is a plus.
- Comfortable working up to 48 hours per week on a regular basis.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Standard 48-hour workweek with typical hours Monday–Friday, 6:00am–4:30pm. The schedule generally consists of ten-hour days and an eight-hour Friday. Overtime is paid for hours over 40 per week.
Pay Scale: $25–$32 per hour, plus overtime for hours worked beyond 40 each week.
