Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with 2+ years of experience and robotics proficiency (DaVinci XI) for an operating room position with no call and no weekends

Job Details

• Surgery Room unit with 19 ORs split between two hospital locations,
• Day shift schedule, 0645 to 1515, 40 hours per week,
• Patient population includes General, ENT, Plastics, Urology, Bariatrics, GYN, minor Vascular, Neuro, and Orthopedic surgery cases,
• Robotics experience required, including DaVinci Xi and Dv5 systems,
• Tech to patient ratio of 1:1,
• Floating required between the Main OR and East side locations, with rare floating to the West Side surgery center,
• No on-call requirements,
• No weekend shifts; some holiday coverage possible,
• Anesthesiologist provides telemetry monitoring,
• EPIC EMR used,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a surgical technologist role required,
• CST certification required,
• BLS certification required,
• License required if applicable,
• Robotics experience with DaVinci Xi required,
• Must be able to perform Neuro and Orthopedic surgery cases,
• EPIC EMR experience required,
• Candidate's middle name or initial required for consideration,
• Candidate date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration,
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN,

Additional Information

• Perform preparatory, scrubbing, and related services to support operating room patient care,
• Assist with surgical cases across multiple specialty areas,
• Support ancillary tasks including cleaning, managing outdated supplies, picking and putting away supplies, and assisting with instrument assembly in sterile processing,
• Facility is a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, Level III Maternity Center, and Primary Stroke Center,
• Charge nurse support available Monday through Friday only; no charge support on weekends or holidays,
• Orientation consists of two 8-hour shifts on the unit,
• Procedural-colored scrubs provided,
• Free on-site parking available,
• Maximum of 4 days RTO will be approved,
• First-time travelers considered upon manager review,
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions,
• Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
