Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

This role involves providing specialized nursing care in the operating room setting, supporting surgical procedures and patient safety. The nurse will be responsible for on-call duties, including night shifts and weekend coverage.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate preoperative assessments and preparations for surgical patients.
• Assist during surgical procedures, ensuring sterile techniques and patient safety.
• Respond to on-call emergencies during scheduled nights and weekends.
• Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout surgeries.
• Document surgical activities and patient information accurately.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with appropriate state certification.
• Proven experience in operating room nursing or perioperative care.
• Ability to handle on-call responsibilities, including night and weekend shifts.
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical procedures, and patient monitoring.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
