Job Summary

Remote Call Center CSR opportunity available for customer service professionals in the Lexington, KY area. This contract/temporary role supports customers in the energy and utilities industry, helping residential and commercial callers with billing, account updates, service requests, and general questions related to gas and electric services.

This is a work-from-home position with company-provided computer equipment, training, and ongoing support. The environment is fast-paced, customer-focused, and team-oriented, with supportive leadership and clear performance expectations. This is a strong opportunity for candidates who enjoy problem-solving, helping customers, and gaining experience in an essential services industry.

Candidates must live within 40 miles of Lexington, KY and be available to report onsite when needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls while providing professional, courteous, and accurate service.
- Assist customers with billing questions, payment arrangements, account inquiries, service requests, and account updates.
- Process new service connections, transfers, disconnections, and related customer account changes.
- Troubleshoot basic service concerns, answer outage-related questions, and provide accurate information about gas and electric services.
- Navigate multiple computer systems while documenting customer interactions clearly and accurately.
- Meet call center quality, productivity, attendance, and performance standards while maintaining customer confidentiality.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $24.00 per hour.
- Position type: Contract/temporary.
- Work arrangement: Remote work from home, with onsite reporting required when necessary.
- Location requirement: Must reside within 40 miles of 2001 Mercer Road, Lexington, KY 40511.
- Equipment: Company-provided computer equipment.
- Training and ongoing support provided.
