Certifications: BLS required

Must-Have:
Charge Nurse experience required
Outpatient Chronic and Acute experience required

Description:
The position involves providing care for patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
The nurse will administer blood and blood products as needed.
Candidates must have the ability to cannulate AV grafts and AV fistulas.
Experience with dialysate conductivity testing is mandatory.
The nurse will handle tunneled and non-tunneled catheters.
Monitoring alarms such as arterial pressure, blood leak, and temperature alarms is essential.
The nurse should be familiar with managing complications like hypotension, hyperkalemia, and fluid overload.
Knowledge of infection control protocols is necessary.
The position may require occasional weekend shifts and floating to other dialysis locations.
The nurse will lead a team when assigned to a charge nurse role in a large unit.
Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and patient management skills.
Experience with the relevant equipment and understanding of patient safety protocols is crucial.
Flexibility with scheduling based on departmental needs is required.
