Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing procedures in the Cath Lab/EP department, ensuring safety and quality of care throughout all phases of treatment. Collaborates with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient support before, during, and after procedures. Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' health status by collecting relevant data and analyzing assessment findings.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to optimize patient outcomes.
- Operate specialized equipment such as EKG monitors, hemodynamic systems, and imaging devices, ensuring proper functioning and accuracy.
- Monitor patient vital signs and electrocardiogram (EKG) during procedures and alert physicians of any changes.
- Record and evaluate hemodynamic parameters, making necessary calculations and documenting findings.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care, promote safety, and deliver best practices in the Cath Lab/EP setting.
- Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Demonstrate clinical experience in critical care, medical-surgical, or Cardiac Cath Lab/Special Procedures.
- Maintain valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Possess proficiency with electrocardiogram (EKG) and hemodynamic monitoring equipment.
- Show ability to operate specialized cardiac and imaging systems accurately.
