Our organization is on the lookout for a passionate, board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Hospitalist to enhance our vibrant team in Augusta, Maine .
Provide comprehensive, evidence-based medical care in a cutting-edge facility.
Overview of the RoleHolistic Patient Care : Oversee well-newborns, manage a Level II NICU, attend births, care for pediatric inpatients, and offer consultations in the emergency department.
Emergency Stabilization : Take charge of neonatal resuscitation and stabilize critically ill newborns before they are transferred to specialized care.
Educational Mentorship : Guide 1-2 learners (Family Medicine residents or medical students) during weekdays.
Reasonable Patient Load : Average daily patient census ranges from 4 to 6.
Flexible Shift Options : Choose between 12-hour or 24-hour shifts .
Robust In-House Support : Operate independently with immediate assistance from obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and emergency physicians. Additionally, phone support from regional children's hospitals is available within an hour.
