Automotive Technician

Job Description

An Automotive Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This position involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine maintenance, and replacing faulty parts. The technician works independently and reports directly to the Service Manager, with no travel required. There are clear opportunities for advancement, including progression to Lead Technician and specialized certification training.

Responsibilities

Perform engine repair and maintenance
Conduct brake system maintenance and repairs
Diagnose electrical system issues
Complete thorough vehicle inspections
Execute preventative maintenance tasks
Run diagnostic tests to identify problems
Replace faulty parts with appropriate components

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance
High school diploma or equivalent
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification / or equivalent
Proficient in engine diagnostics and brake system repair
Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems
Strong understanding of preventative maintenance
Effective problem-solving abilities
Experienced with diagnostic tools
Good time management skills
Committed to safety compliance
