The Transformation Specialist plays a key role in shaping and performing bp’s Mobility & Convenience Americas (M&C A) strategy. This position delivers analytical insights, structured problem solving, and hands‑on support for high‑impact strategic and transformation initiatives. Responsibilities Contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of the M&C A strategy by conducting structured analyses, preparing summaries of insights, and supporting the evaluation of strategic options aligned with bp’s Customers strategy and low‑carbon ambitions. Support the delivery of strategic and transformation initiatives across M&C A by assisting with workstream coordination, tracking milestones, preparing materials, and ensuring timely, accurate outputs. Complete targeted analyses on market trends, customer behavior, competitive activity, financial performance, and regulatory developments to inform strategic recommendations and business decisions. Assist in breaking down complex strategic questions into clear components, developing initial hypotheses, gathering relevant facts, and preparing data‑backed recommendations for senior leaders. Help translate strategic priorities into actionable plans by developing draft roadmaps, tracking performance metrics, and supporting teams as they move from planning to implementation. Collaborate with teams across Products, Operations, Finance, Digital, Policy, and Sustainability to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure strategic activities are aligned and practical. Prepare high‑quality presentations, briefing materials, and strategic narratives for leadership discussions, governance processes, and collaborator engagement forums. Assist in the development of business cases, investment proposals, and value assessments by supporting financial modelling, documenting assumptions, and identifying risks and value drivers. Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional qualification (MBA beneficial but not required). 3–7 years of post‑university work experience in strategy, business analysis, or consulting‑related roles (preferably in top‑tier consulting, private equity, or investment banking firms). Exposure to the oil & gas or broader energy sector is preferred. Experience or familiarity with retail, mobility, or convenience industries is advantageous. Key Skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks, coordinate across workstreams, and support timely, high‑quality delivery. Structured thinking – ability to break down problems into clear steps, develop initial hypotheses, and carry out analysis. Analytical capability – solid quantitative and qualitative analysis, basic financial analysis, market research, and data interpretation. Clear communication – ability to create concise, well‑structured presentations and materials for senior leaders. Collaborative working – experience building relationships with cross‑functional teams. Commercial and external awareness – growing understanding of market dynamics and regulatory considerations within energy, mobility, or retail contexts. Compensation & Logistics Base salary range: $100,000 – $186,000. Up to 10% travel expected. Hybrid office/remote work arrangement. No relocation assistance available.
