Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Oncology Unit)

Location: Wilmington, NC 28401

Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Start Date: June 8, 2026

Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (18:45 – 07:15)

• Experience: Minimum 2 years inpatient nursing experience
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) – must be able to administer chemotherapy
• Clinical Skills:
  • Med/Surg patient care
  • Colostomy care
  • Accessing ports
  • Blood product administration
  • Central line blood draws
  • Peripheral line care/management
  • PICC line management
  • Heparin & insulin administration
  • Surgical drains
  • Chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac)
  • Nasal cannula & non-invasive airway management
  • Isolation precautions
  • Wound care & wound vac

Preferred Qualifications

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
• Charge nurse experience
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) credential

Additional Information

• Manager is specifically seeking RNs with strong med-surg and oncology skills
