This position is responsible for coordinating day-to-day laboratory operations, preparing instructional spaces and equipment for training activities, maintaining laboratory assets and inventory, and assisting instructional staff in the delivery of semiconductor workforce programs. Working closely with instructors, accelerator leadership, students, and industry partners, the Program Coordinator ensures that laboratories are safe, organized, properly equipped, and ready to support hands-on learning experiences. The position also supports program logistics, student engagement, data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives to facilitate the efficient operation of workforce training programs. Essential Functions 40% - Program Coordination, Student Support & Communications Serves as a central hub for the district office of Maricopa County Community Colleges and all campuses that are part of the Future48 Semiconductor Workforce Accelerator and will be responsible for the course scheduling, procurement and inventory and working closely with vendors and stakeholders and lab set up. Provides coordination and administrative support for workforce training programs delivered through the Future48 Semiconductor Workforce Accelerator; coordinates program schedules, course offerings, student onboarding and intake activities, training logistics, instructional resources, laboratory access, and communications associated with Accelerator programs; serves as a primary point of contact for students and participants and provides information and guidance regarding program requirements, schedules, training activities, resources, and support services; responds to inquiries from students, faculty, staff, instructional personnel, facilities personnel, vendors, external partners, and other stakeholders; coordinates communications and logistics among Accelerator leadership, instructors, students, facilities personnel, vendors, and external partners to support effective program delivery; maintains accurate student, participant, and program records in accordance with institutional and program requirements; assists with planning and coordinating workshops, short courses, boot camps, industry training, special events, and other Accelerator activities; monitors program timelines and identifies scheduling, resource, or coordination issues that may affect successful program delivery. 20% - Workforce Training Operations & Stakeholder Coordination Supports the planning, implementation, and day-to-day coordination of workforce training programs and related Accelerator activities; works closely with instructional staff, Accelerator leadership, industry partners, and campus stakeholders to coordinate training requirements, facilities, instructional resources, equipment, materials, and other program needs; coordinates the operational details associated with student and participant training experiences, including room and laboratory scheduling, access, orientation, training materials, and special program requirements; provides lead direction to student employees, temporary staff, and volunteers supporting Accelerator programs and activities, as needed; assists with onboarding and training personnel who support program delivery; identifies and resolves logistical and operational issues that may affect students, instructors, or program activities; supports the development and implementation of processes that improve the efficiency, consistency, and participant experience of Accelerator programs. 15% - Laboratory & Training Environment Support Provides laboratory and hands-on training environment support necessary for successful delivery of Accelerator programs; prepares, sets up, breaks down, and reconfigures laboratories and training spaces for classes, workforce training, demonstrations, workshops, and special events; ensures the availability and readiness of equipment, tools, materials, supplies, and other instructional resources required for scheduled training activities; supports instructors during demonstrations, laboratory exercises, and hands-on training; performs routine inspections, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment and coordinates calibration, preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, and vendor services as needed; collaborates with instructional staff to ensure laboratory resources and equipment are prepared prior to training sessions; assists with implementation of new laboratory exercises, instructional activities, and equipment in support of Accelerator programs; maintains organized, clean, and safe laboratory and training environments in accordance with institutional policies and established procedures. 15% - Safety, Inventory & Operational Compliance Supports safe, compliant, and effective delivery of Accelerator training programs by promoting adherence to laboratory safety procedures, institutional policies, and applicable regulations; maintains documentation required for inspections, equipment maintenance, inventory, and program operations; identifies operational and safety issues and works with appropriate personnel to resolve concerns; monitors inventory levels for supplies, consumables, tools, and instructional materials needed to support workforce training programs; coordinates purchasing requests, restocking, and resource allocation activities; tracks equipment and assets and maintains accurate inventory records; assists with equipment audits, lifecycle planning, storage organization, and accountability for specialized equipment, tools, materials, and supplies; recommends process improvements that enhance safety, reliability, efficiency, and the participant experience. 10% - Program Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Collects, maintains, and summarizes program data related to enrollment, student and participant engagement, course participation, training completion, program activities, equipment utilization, and other Accelerator outcomes; assists with preparation of program reports, presentations, dashboards, and other documentation for Accelerator leadership, institutional stakeholders, industry partners, and funding or reporting requirements; supports tracking of program milestones, deliverables, and operational activities; assists with research related to semiconductor workforce needs, industry trends, emerging technologies, training models, and best practices; identifies trends, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve program delivery, student support, operational processes, and workforce training outcomes; participates in continuous improvement activities and performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business or public administration, or a directly related field and one (1) year of experience in researching information, gathering data, performing preliminary analysis and preparing reports. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications A. Experience working in semiconductor manufacturing or semiconductor equipment environments. B. Experience supporting work force development, technical education, higher education, training programs, or industry-focused educational initiatives. C. Experience coordinating laboratory-based and/or hands-on technical training environments. D. Experience coordinating programs, student onboarding, course logistics schedules, training activities, preparing reports, or supporting continuous improvement initiatives. F. Experience with laboratory safety procedures, equipment maintenance, asset management, inventory control. G. One (1) yearfull-time relevant MCCCD experience during the previous two (2) years.
