Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough preliminary interviews, taking detailed notes and documenting client progress from the initial consultation through to the conclusion of treatment. \n
- Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health to ensure accurate diagnoses and tailor treatment plans accordingly. \n
- Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, integrating evidence-based approaches tailored to clients’ needs. \n
- Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques that foster open communication, exploration, and healing. \n
- Monitor patient progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans in consultation with clients and other healthcare professionals as necessary. \n
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare specialists for multidisciplinary approaches to patient care. \n
- Proactively identify barriers to recovery and work with clients to mitigate risks, ensuring a path to improved mental health. \n
- Support families and primary caregivers in managing behavioral health challenges, fostering a supportive environment for the individual. \n
In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients from various socioeconomic backgrounds, addressing an array of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Your insights and interventions will play a key role in helping these individuals navigate their personal challenges, improve their mental health, and regain a sense of hope and purpose.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. \n
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Arizona. \n
- A valid passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE) is mandatory. \n
- Demonstrable experience in a mental health counseling role, with a track record of successful interventions and therapeutic relationships. \n
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to document and track client progress efficiently. \n
- Proficient understanding of the interplay between physical and mental health conditions, as well as addiction disorders. \n
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare colleagues. \n
- Strong interpersonal skills coupled with a compassionate and sympathetic approach to mental health care. \n

- Experience working within a community health setting and providing culturally competent care to diverse populations. \n
- Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). \n
- Understanding of the pharmacological treatments prescribed for mental health disorders, enabling a holistic approach to client care. \n
