Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Intermediate Care for a travel nursing job in Utica, New York. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Intermediate Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Nurse in the local area. This position involves providing specialized care in a 64-bed unit with designated neuro beds, focusing on neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory patients. The role requires adaptability to float and involves working a day shift schedule. Job Details: Position: IMCU Nurse in an Intermediate Care Unit Shift: 6:30 a.m. 7:00 p.m. (12-hour shifts) Schedule: 48 hours per week, starting on 12/21/2026 and ending on 03/20/2027 Required Qualifications: Valid NY State Registered Nurse license, current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications. Up-to-date resume with at least 2 years of experience in IMCU or Progressive Care Unit (PCU), documentation of travel experience, and a valid drivers license matching demographics. EMR experience required with EPIC. Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory patients, with knowledge of specialty equipment including Temp pacers, Chest tubes, A-line, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo. Responsibilities: Providing patient care for adults aged 18 and above, managing complex cases involving chronic vents and medical conditions such as COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, and CV stepdown. Assistance from RT for vent management is available. Float: Float rotation may be required.
