Patient Care Tech - Free Standing ER South Tampa - Days

Summary: Works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse providing patient care in the clinical setting. Cares for a group of assigned patients with various needs to ensure safe, high‑quality care is delivered. Care includes but is not limited to providing for the patient’s daily needs such as hygiene, mobility, nutrition, toileting, ensuring safety measures are in place, communication with patient & care team, documentation of care provided. Additional skills include urinary catheter insertion and removal, removal IV reseal, suprapubic catheter care, telemetry lead placement and ostomy care/maintenance. ***Free Standing ER South Tampa - Projected start date of September or October 2026*** Minimum Qualifications Required Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) Preferred Credentials: EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Minimum requirements include: 6 months acute care experience 1 year skilled nursing facility experience Successful completion of a BayCare‑sponsored Nursing Assistant or PCT Internship Completion of Nursing Fundamentals (RN) Completion of Nursing Foundation (LPN) Programs EMT certification / Paramedic license for ER only Completion of a PCT or Nursing Assistant program that includes at least 40 hours of an external clinical component Preferred Experience: 1 year – Hospital in related field.
