Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized critical care in a dynamic travel environment. The role requires adaptability across various ICU units and the ability to deliver exceptional patient care in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced critical care to ICU patients, including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ED/PACU settings.
• Monitor patient vital signs, operate advanced medical equipment, and interpret clinical data to ensure optimal care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized treatment plans.
• Perform and document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately within established protocols.
• Complete competency testing within 24 hours of orientation to validate clinical proficiency.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 2 years of ICU experience, including level I trauma center exposure.
• Proven ability to float across multiple ICU specialties comfortably and competently.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
• Ability to work 48 hours per week, including night shifts.
• Current trauma and critical care certifications preferred.
