Position Overview
The Vice President of Cardiovascular Services will provide executive leadership and strategic direction for a comprehensive cardiovascular service line that includes:
- Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
- Cardiology Clinic Operations
- Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Services
- Cardiovascular Program Development and Growth Initiatives
This leader will be responsible for advancing clinical quality, strengthening physician partnerships, optimizing financial performance, improving operational efficiency, and driving long-term service line expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive oversight for all cardiovascular service line operations
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to expand cardiovascular programs and market presence
- Drive operational excellence, quality outcomes, and patient satisfaction across all cardiovascular departments
- Partner closely with physicians and clinical leadership to enhance patient-centered care delivery
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cost management efforts
- Monitor performance metrics and implement initiatives to improve quality, safety, and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards
- Lead recruitment, retention, and professional development efforts for multidisciplinary teams
- Build strong relationships with physicians, hospital leadership, staff, and community stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for program growth, innovation, and service line enhancement
Qualifications
Required
- Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience within cardiovascular services
- Demonstrated success leading cardiovascular operations, strategic planning, and financial performance initiatives
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality metrics
- Exceptional leadership, communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
Preferred
- MBA or MHA
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Experience working within PACS and dictation system environments
- Knowledge of radiology and cardiology workflows across multiple modalities
- Understanding of medical imaging systems and terminology
- Familiarity with DICOM and HL7 standards
