Healthcare Planner
Array Architects is seeking a Healthcare Planner 2 to support and lead portions of complex healthcare planning efforts across outpatient, inpatient, and system-focused projects. This role is ideal for a planner who has moved beyond basic support tasks and is ready to independently lead departmental planning efforts, user engagement sessions, and planning deliverables.
This position requires a strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and spatial planning strategies, along with the ability to translate user input into clear and actionable planning solutions.
What You'll Do
- Lead planning efforts for departments or smaller healthcare projects
- Develop functional programs, blocking diagrams, stacking studies, and test fits
- Facilitate user group meetings and synthesize operational input into planning direction
- Coordinate planning solutions across architecture, interiors, and engineering disciplines
- Support medical planning narratives, planning graphics, and strategic planning presentations
- Identify operational inefficiencies, workflow challenges, and planning opportunities
- Participate in pursuits, interviews, and client presentations
- Mentor junior planning staff and contribute to planning standards and tools
Qualifications
- 6–8 years total professional experience
- 3–5 years focused healthcare planning experience
- Experience with healthcare programming, operational flow, and departmental relationships
- Strong understanding of healthcare design principles and clinical workflows
- Ability to independently lead defined planning scopes
- Strong communication and facilitation skills
- Revit experience preferred
- Licensed Architect, Interior Designer, or working toward licensure preferred
