Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Demonstrated experience working with junior high and high school-age students
• Proven career consistency within educational roles
• Student-centered teaching philosophy, with a commitment to individual growth over strict curriculum adherence
• Classroom management skills for groups of 20 or fewer students
• Background or experience in Science, English, or Math is a strong advantage
• Ability to foster a welcoming and supportive learning atmosphere for diverse learners

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging special education instruction to 6th-8th grade students onsite
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff to support student success
• Collaborate effectively with general education staff and related service providers
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and needs
• Maintain a productive classroom environment by applying evidence-based strategies
• Track student progress and communicate regularly with all stakeholders
• Demonstrate a long-term commitment to the educational community and its students
