Senior Hardware Design Engineer

Lead the electrical design response to new business opportunities Collaborate with mechanical engineering team and production team to create design proposal Work with electrical component suppliers to understand possible solutions Support hardware design and development of ECUs from concept through production Serve as a technical representative of electrical hardware team to customers Communicate hardware status, risks, and issues to internal leadership and customers Support design reviews and drive resolution of action items Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are production-ready Requirements 5-7 years of experience in automotive ECU design and development environment Preferred 3+ years of experience in driveline control or suspension control or BMS design BS Electrical Engineering or Related 5-year technical degree with equivalent industry experience Strong electrical design knowledge in 12V automotive systems Familiarity with power electronics topologies including H-bridge motor drivers, BLDC motor control Basic understanding of ADC signal chains Familiarity with digital communication interfaces such as CAN, SPI, and SENT Experience collaborating with simulation teams on power dissipation analysis Understanding of hardware reliability and validation testing methods Familiarity with driveline control systems and battery management systems Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks Fluent in English (written and verbal) Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in electrical design for automotive ECUs, with a strong focus on 12V systems, power electronics, and digital communication interfaces. Proven ability to collaborate across teams and manage design proposals from concept to production.
