Setting involves a hospital-based Med/Surg Tele unit focused on Neurosurgical and general surgical care. Start within the next two weeks is required. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,083–$2,252 per week Guaranteed hours: Not guaranteed Contract duration: 5 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts Start date: 08/13/2026 Work setting: Medicine/Surgery Tele unit with neurosurgical and surgical patients Responsibilities Provide direct patient care for Med/Surg Tele patients, including neuro assessments and flagging changes in condition Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and monitor hemodynamics per physician orders and protocol Perform accurate documentation in the Epic EMR and participate in handoffs during shift changes Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans; educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning Maintain patient safety and quality of care, including infection control, fall prevention, and regulatory compliance Support unit operations, contribute to care coordination, and participate in bi-weekly orientations and schedule adjustments to meet patient needs Requirements Active RN license (state may vary by assignment; current licensure as an RN required) Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, and BLS; NIHSS certification required prior to start Experience: Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele unit experience; prior travel experience and large teaching facility experience are preferred EMR: Epic experience within the past 2 years is required start readiness: able to start within two weeks of offer; able to work in a fast-paced, teaching facility environment; able to work every other weekend or as unit needs dictate Benefits and Support Dedicated assignment support from Healthforce Healthcare LLC Credentialing and onboarding assistance to expedite start 24/7 recruiter and travel support Orientation scheduling and ongoing assignment coordination Find more opportunities If this role isn’t the right fit, you can explore other RN openings available at Healthforce Healthcare LLC by visiting Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
