Concrete finishers will assist with and perform all tasks per the direction of a direct foreman or supervisor. Tasks may involve lifting and carrying materials, loading and unloading equipment, utilizing hand tools relevant to the jobsite, and daily jobsite cleanup. Individuals must be able to rake concrete, utilize a hand float and hand trowel effectively, bull float wet concrete, straight edge, and help to strip forms. Individuals must be able to work in all weather conditions, follow directions, follow safety standards, and be able to excel within a fast-paced environment. Applicants can expect to work 8 - 12 hours per day. Most work is local, within 1.5 hours of Hanover, PA. Occassional night work may be necessary. Pay is based on experience and performance.

 

General Job Duties:

1. Show up to work on time every day, prepared with proper tools and required safety attire.

2. Identify and safely operate basic hand tools

3. Be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.

4. Be able to accurately read a tape measure

5. Ability to listen, comprehend, and follow multistep directions, as provided by supervisor.

6. Understand the differences in basic building materials

7. Be attentive to jobsite surroundings and cognizant of safety hazards within the workspace.

8. Participate in daily jobsite cleanup as necessary to aid in the longevity of tools and supplies.

9. Display honesty, a good attitude, and motivated work ethic.

10. Must be available to work a minimum of 8 hours per day, and overtime, as required.
