Hospitalist App / Nocturnist

OVP Health, a small-to-medium physician-owned and operated group, is seeking a hospitalist advanced practice provider (APP) / nocturnist for Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, OH. OVP reports 12 APP openings across its current search; Pomerene Hospitalist APP is the current APP staffing priority.

Schedule and clinical setting:

Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off

APP shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM

Physician shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM

Weekend/holidays: Approximately 12 weekends per month; weekends and holidays split evenly among the team

Call: None listed

Hospitalist daily census: 610 patients

Hospital beds: 15 total

Special care beds: 3 special care unit beds, included in the 15-bed total

Hospitalist EMR: TrueBridge (CPSI)

Specialty coverage: General surgery and OB/GYN; hospitalist does not provide OB coverage

Compensation and benefits:

Base compensation: $75$80/hour for hospitalist APP nocturnist

Productivity/RVU: No RVU incentive

Sign-on bonus: Negotiable

Relocation assistance: Negotiable

CME: $1,500 per year for APPs

401(k): Company match up to 3% after one year

License/DEA: Covered in full for full-time providers

Candidate profile:

• APP experience is preferred because of the autonomy required on the night shift.
• Ohio licensure is required for the APP position; OVP states licensure costs are covered for full-time providers.
• The general OVP requirements list standard emergency medicine certifications including ATLS, BLS, and PALS. The Pomerene hospitalist profile specifically lists ACLS in connection with procedures. Exact certification requirements for this APP role should be confirmed.
