Vice President of Business Development

A rapidly growing CDMO is seeking an experienced Vice President of Business Development to lead commercial growth across its biologics development and manufacturing services portfolio. This executive will be responsible for developing strategic relationships with biotech and pharmaceutical companies, expanding revenue opportunities, and driving engagement with clients from early development through commercialization. Key Responsibilities Drive new business growth across biologics development, analytical, formulation, and manufacturing services. Build and maintain relationships with biotech and pharmaceutical decision-makers throughout New England and key North American markets. Lead strategic account planning, opportunity generation, and contract negotiations. Partner closely with technical, operational, and executive leadership teams to align customer needs with service capabilities. Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and customer meetings. Develop and execute territory growth strategies, pipeline management, and revenue forecasting. Requirements 10+ years of business development experience within a CDMO, biologics services, or related life sciences environment. Demonstrated success selling biologics development and manufacturing solutions to biotech and pharmaceutical clients. Established network across the New England biologics ecosystem, including emerging biotech companies and larger pharmaceutical organizations. Strong understanding of biologics development, analytical characterization, process development, and manufacturing. Proven track record of securing complex, high-value service agreements. Executive presence with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, the Greater Boston area.
