Automation Technician

We are seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing systems. This individual will play a key role in ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently while supporting production and implementing automation enhancements. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated systems and equipment. Program and modify PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces). Assemble and wire electrical control panels. Perform preventive maintenance and regular inspections to minimize equipment downtime. Diagnose and resolve electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical issues. Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Maintenance, and Production teams to identify and implement automation improvements. Support the integration and commissioning of new automation equipment and technologies. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to production and maintenance teams. Participate in new equipment installations and project launches. Maintain compliance with all safety standards and applicable industry regulations. Stay current on emerging automation technologies and recommend improvements when appropriate. Qualifications Diploma or degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience in industrial automation within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency programming and troubleshooting PLCs (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens). Experience developing and modifying HMIs. Working knowledge of ladder logic, AutoCAD, and industrial automation systems. Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
