Job Summary:
The Sales Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and expert product knowledge to help customers select the right outdoor power equipment for their needs. This role requires enthusiasm for outdoor power products, attention to detail, and a passion for building customer relationships. The ideal candidate will assist customers in the showroom, answer product and service questions, and help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations and product demonstrations for lawn mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, pressure washers, and other outdoor power equipment.
• Understand and communicate features, benefits, and proper use of various equipment and accessories.
• Assist with parts lookup, ordering, and sales transactions.
• Process sales using the POS system, handle cash, check and card transactions accurately.
• Maintain showroom organization, displays, and signage to ensure a clean, attractive retail environment.
• Dust & Clean sales counter, bathrooms, doors and showroom floor to maintain a clean environment for customers.
• Support inventory management including restocking, labeling, and product placement.
• Coordinate with the service department regarding equipment repairs and customer service needs.
• Stay up to date on new product lines, manufacturer promotions, and industry trends.
• Meet or exceed monthly and seasonal sales goals.
• Follow all safety guidelines and store policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Prior retail or sales experience, preferably in outdoor power equipment, hardware, or related industry.
• Strong product knowledge or willingness to learn about small engines, landscaping tools, and outdoor power equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) system skills.
• Customer-focused, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with brands such as Echo, Redmax, Husqvarna, SCAG, Grasshopper, Ferris, or similar.
• Mechanical aptitude or familiarity with small engine equipment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, Mon - Fri 7:30am – 5:00pm, Rotating Sat 8:00am - 12:00pm
• Schedules subject to change

Compensation:

• Competitive pay based on experience
• This is an Hourly position, payroll is biweekly on Fridays
