Culinary ServerWe are seeking a Culinary Server to join our community committed to delivering outstanding food to our residents. As a Culinary Server, you will play an important role in all phases of food preparation that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. Join our team and inspire happiness in the lives of others!What You'll Do:Must be upbeat, courteous, and positive.Possesses great guest relation and communications skills.Deliver hospitality, enhance every guest experience.Be able to navigate through the menu, describe featured menu items. Demonstrate extensive menu knowledge.Take accurate food and beverage orders. Be able to send orders to kitchen accurately through the point of sales system. Partner with all associates to serve food and beverages in a timely manner.Must have the ability to multi-task and work well with others.Must be able to adhere to our Buckner Service Standards.Responsible for all side-work duties assigned and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in all dining areas, some kitchen areas.What You'll Bring:Completes and meets required training and certification requirements of Buckner and governing authorities; e.g. food handlers certificate.Requires knowledge of and ability to learn food serving, cleanliness and sanitation requirements.Requires ability to effectively communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors and co-workers.Requires ability to move food serving and preparation equipment as needed; requires ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects.Requires ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, stand and walk over 75% of shift.The above description reflects the details considered necessary to describe the essential functions of the job and should not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be performed in the job.Buckner Retirement Services comprises a network of senior living communities across Texas.
