Inpatient Trauma Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner-Fayetteville, NC

An 8-hospital regional health system in Fayetteville, North Carolina, serving more than one million patients annually, is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our Orthopedic Trauma Service . Position Overview

This inpatient-focused role is integral to the daily operations of our Orthopedic Trauma program . The NP will manage consults, coordinate care, and provide comprehensive inpatient management for orthopedic trauma patients. The position offers a high level of clinical autonomy, direct leadership involvement, and daily collaboration with two experienced Orthopedic Trauma Surgeons in a supportive and team-oriented environment.

Schedule & Call

• Monday-Friday, daytime schedule

• Four (4) call nights per month

• Inpatient-only position

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient orthopedic trauma evaluations and consultations

• Manage daily patient care, documentation, and follow-up

• Collaborate closely with orthopedic trauma surgeons to optimize patient outcomes

• Coordinate care with nursing, case management, and interdisciplinary teams

• Serve in a leadership-oriented role within the service line, with meaningful autonomy and clinical decision-making support

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina (or eligibility for licensure)

• Prior experience in Orthopedics, Trauma, Acute Care, or a related specialty preferred

• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced inpatient setting
