Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1-2 years of experience and ARRT (R)(MRI) certification for a day shift assignment in a hospital radiology department.

Details

• Adult acute care and outpatient settings, with preferred ER/Trauma exposure
• Performs imaging of abdomen and pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
• Utilizes GE equipment and PACS system
• Performs special imaging procedures including gradient echo imaging, spin echo images, T1 and T2 weighted images, MIP, MPR, and image post-processing
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of MRI Technologist experience required
• ARRT (R)(MRI) and ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification required
• CRT / CA license required
• License required if applicable
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Epic EMR experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Skilled in starting peripheral IVs
• 2 professional references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• Performs MRI imaging for abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal cases
• Must be willing to float between sister facilities as needed
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates accepted, though a 50-mile radius rule applies for travel pay eligibility
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
