Chiller Technician

The ideal candidate will be responsible or maintaining and repairing and installing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and mechanical components/equipment. Maintaining the safe operation of highly complex systems and equipment. Specific systems may include: electronic/pneumatic, environmental controls, fan powered boxes and auxiliary equipment (various pumps, heat exchangers, air compressors, etc. Work with BAS controls, chiller operations, pump operations, water treatment programs, air handler units, and VAV’s. Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Conductsinspections,maintenance,repairs,andserviceonavarietyofchillersystems,includingair-cooled,water-cooled,andcentrifugalchillers. Operates,troubleshoots,andmaintainscomplexchillerequipmentwhilediagnosingandresolvingmechanicalandoperationalissues. advancedtechnicalknowledgeinperformingcompleteequipmentoverhauls,systemevaluations,androot-causediagnostics. Skilledindiagnosing,servicing,maintaining,andrepairingawiderangeofHVACandmechanicalequipment,including: Air-cooledchillers(reciprocating,screw,andscroll)upto100tons Largewater-cooledchillersystems Coolingtowers Pumpsandpumpingsystems Aircompressors Compressedairdryers VariableAirVolume(VAV)boxes VariableFrequencyDrives(VFD) Airhandlingunits(AHU) Knowledge,SkillandAbility: Mustbeabletoreadblueprintsandas-builtdrawings. Beabletosolveproblems Planworkandselectpropertools. Visualizeobjectsinthreedimensionsfromplansanddrawings.
