Job Description Job Description CMA - Certified Medical Assistant-1 Yr Exp Preferred Job Summary: Under direct supervision of the Medical Physician, assists in the appropriate elements of administrative and clinical responsibilities within the scope of the Medical Assistant's training. Responsibilities and Duties * Gather and record patient information to include patient medical history, medications, vital signs and other pertinent information. * Provide patients with lab results, medication changes, diet restrictions and other pertinent information as directed by physician. * Schedule and confirm outside referrals/imaging appointments. * Obtain prior authorization when required. * Ensure medical records are accurate and completed in a timely manner. * Assist physician/clinic supervisor in completing/reporting adverse events reports * Assist with the disposal of hazardous wastes and dirty linens.
