JEVS Human Services has an exciting opportunity to join the team at our Orleans Technical College as a HVAC Instructor . The Instructor will be responsible for teaching students through hands-on projects and theory in safety, math, and other basics of air conditioning refrigeration and heating.

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction, as specified in the curriculum, in the basics of air conditioning refrigeration and heating

• Supervise students in hands-on trades tasks

• Provide testing of students’ knowledge of theory

• Prepare curricula materials

• Utilize varying delivery methods and media to keep students engaged with the lesson for the full class day.

• Maintain student attendance and grade rosters

This position is part-time, 2 evenings per week, 5:30pm-10:15pm.

Part-time instructor pay rate is $32.50.

Qualifications :

• 3+ years experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial systems; experience working with heat pumps, gas and oil-fired furnaces, ductwork, radiant heat, etc.
• Must have EPA certification
• Knowledge of electrical theory and heating theory is a must
• Must have experience soldering and brazing

The base pay for this position is $32.50 Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
