This Nurse Apprentice opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient flexible schedule. The dynamic individual will provide support to nursing care and coordinate the delivery of patient treatments to assigned patients in a medical/surgical facility, ensuring adherence to hospital or department and University policies, and nursing procedures, standards, and practices. The candidate will assess patient health, develop a plan of care for patients, administer treatments, educate patients and their families, and provide patient and family support as a liaison with doctors and other staff members. Job Duties / Responsibilities Ability to perform a head‑to‑toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy. This includes pediatric, geriatric and the general patient population. In coordination with RN preceptor, formulate a patient care plan. Revise plan of care as indicated by the patient’s response to treatment and evaluate overall plan daily for effectiveness under the supervision of the RN preceptor. Knowledge of medications and their correct administration, under the direct supervision of the RN preceptor, based on age of the patient and their clinical condition.
