Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to individuals undergoing operative or other invasive procedures
• Address psychological and socio-cultural needs of surgical patients and their support persons
• Provide patient and family education related to surgical procedures and recovery
• Manage patient care from the time an operative or invasive procedure is indicated through the patient's return to usual roles and responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or applicable compact state
• Experience in an Operating Room or surgical care setting
• Ability to assess and respond to the physical, psychological, and socio-cultural needs of surgical patients

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in perioperative or scrub/circulator roles
• Familiarity with a broad range of operative and invasive procedures
• Strong patient and family communication and education skills
