7th/8th Grade Science Teacher

Summary
Beagle Middle School is seeking a passionate and dedicated 8th Grade Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will foster a love for science in students while delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons aligned with state standards. This full-time position requires a commitment to creating a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration among students.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and engage students in scientific inquiry.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Integrate technology and hands-on experiments into lessons to enhance student understanding and interest in science.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and participate in professional development activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and classroom activities.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and committees as required.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, with a DX, DI, or ZG Endorsement.
- Valid teaching certification in Science for middle school level.
- Proven experience teaching middle school science or a similar educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of scientific concepts and the ability to convey them in an engaging manner.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
