OB/GYN Hospitalist - High Risk

Ascension St. Vincent; 86th Street in Indianapolis, IN is looking for a FULL TIME OBGYN High Risk Hospitalist to join our High Risk OB team. Experienced candidates will provide around the clock inpatient care, emergency management and triage for medically complex pregnancies and acute gynecological conditions. You will partner with our amazing Maternal Fetal Medicine team who specialize in managing high-acuity pregnancies and critical maternal care.

• Focus on high-acuity fetal medicine, not routine labor
• Collaborate closely with MFM specialists, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and specialized L&D nursing teams.
• Manage all labor and delivery triage arrivals, emergency room consults
• Lead obstetric rapid response and emergency drills, interpret fetal heart rate tracings, and oversee residents, fellows, or midwives.
• Specialty Assets: Access to Level IV Perinatal Care Center and Level IV NICU facilities
• Collaborative Culture: Partner closely with a highly integrated nursing team and four distinct OB groups to optimize delivery and triage workflows.
• Clinical Excellence: Lead emergency GYN surgical interventions, managing high-acuity cases including ectopics and ovarian torsions with full specialty support.
• Outcome-Focused Triage: Drive unit efficiency by managing all triage arrivals and ER consults, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
• Surgical Proficiency: Physicians who are comfortable performing emergency GYN surgeries independently.
