Provide customers with prompt service and quality products while maintaining a clean and friendly environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare café menu items by using standard facility equipment and following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques Handle cash and credit card transactions Unlock and secure café upon opening and closing Assume responsibility for quality of products prepared and served Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following MTA and Department of Health standards for cleanliness, food handling and sanitation Greet all customers, maintain a friendly, courteous and cheerful demeanor, answer customer questions and provide prompt service Perform light janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, wiping countertops and tabletops and removing trash Maintain and operate all café equipment per manufacturer and company specifications Follow policies and procedures in place to help control food cost and minimize waste Regular and reliable attendance required Perform all other related duties as assigned Skills/Knowledge Must have basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing) for cash handling purposes Requires constant daily interaction with people Must be able to operate a calculator, credit card terminal and cash register Must be able to multi-task Education/Experience High School Diploma preferred Previous barista or food service experience preferred Certificates and Licenses Must obtain Food Handler Certification within 3 months of hire #J-18808-Ljbffr Mililani Town Association
